This research project 'Driving Urban Transitions', supported by VLAIO, focuses on 8 representative neighbourhoods in Belgium, Estonia, the Netherlands and Portugal.

The aim is to develop tools to empower residents and neighbourhood associations and accelerate the urban energy transformation of deprived neighbourhoods.

Each country examines two cases with a different context and each time starts with a different approach: from a vision of the future, from the local fabric, from governance or from stakeholder networks.

Because there is no one set method to work on Positive Energy Districts, we constantly connect the studies and continue to learn from each other.
