Our diverse and changing society demands alternative answers. Endeavour and the Environment Department are therefore conducting a policy exploration into the tension between environmental policy and social justice.
The exploration aims to formulate recommendations on how to better embed other perspectives in policymaking and generate innovative solutions to environmental issues.
Social justice has three global dimensions: recognition justice, which recognizes the differences and inequalities between between between individuals and social groups; procedural justice, which deals with the fairness of decision-making processes and distributive justice, which deals with the distribution of the pros and cons of policies.
During the exploration, 3 cases were researched and made into podcasts. How can we value and manage real estate heritage socially? How can we use urban planning charges socially? How can we democratize public inquiries?
