Housing is a fundamental basic need. Flanders is facing the challenges of an ageing housing stock, a fragmented housing landscape, growing loneliness and housing inequality. The housing system fails to guarantee housing as a fundamental right for every resident. Endeavour investigates which factors influence housing behaviour and how spatial structures affect affordability and housing security. Based on these insights, we help develop alternative development models, inclusive and adapted forms of housing, and strong housing policy strategies that guarantee affordability and quality for everyone.
