The Roads and Traffic Agency (AWV), together with the city of Antwerp, wants to redesign the Turnhoutsebaan in Borgerhout to make the traffic situation safer for cyclists and pedestrians.

A lot comes together on the Turnhoutsebaan. To improve safety, a thorough redesign is necessary.

The Roads and Traffic Agency and the City of Antwerp are joining forces with experts, traders, local residents and action groups to propose a design with sufficient space for active road users, greenery, meetings and quality of life.

We started with an experience study to identify the different perspectives, wishes and stories and thus provide a clear assignment for the design.
